Money Skills That Actually Stick
What You're Getting Into
No fluff. No theoretical exercises that don't apply to your life. Just straightforward guidance on managing money better, whether you're trying to save for a house deposit or finally understanding your super.
How the Weeks Break Down
Each module builds on the last one, but you won't get lost if you join a bit late. We designed it so the concepts connect without feeling like you're stuck in a lecture hall.
Foundation Habits
Where your money actually goes each month. Most people guess wrong. We'll track spending patterns and spot the leaks without making you feel guilty about your coffee habit.
Debt Navigation
Credit cards, personal loans, HECS debt—there's a strategy for each. We talk through consolidation, repayment priorities, and when it makes sense to tackle high-interest stuff first.
Emergency Buffers
The unglamorous but essential safety net. How much you need, where to keep it, and how to build it up gradually without completely sacrificing your current lifestyle.
Investment Basics
Shares, ETFs, managed funds—explained without the intimidation. We cover risk tolerance, diversification, and why timing the market usually backfires for regular investors.
Superannuation Deep Dive
Your super probably has more money in it than you think. We look at contribution strategies, fund performance, insurance inside super, and whether salary sacrificing makes sense for you.
Long-Range Planning
Property goals, retirement projections, major life changes. Building a flexible plan that adjusts when circumstances shift, because they always do.
Who's Teaching This
Brogan Carlisle
Lead Educator
Spent seven years working in financial planning before realizing most people just needed someone to explain things clearly. Now runs workshops across Canberra and online. Known for breaking down complex stuff into plain language and actually answering the questions you're afraid to ask.
Saoirse Dunleavy
Guest Facilitator
Joins us for the investment and super modules. Previously worked with a large industry fund helping members understand their statements. Has a talent for explaining why fees matter more than you'd think and which fund features are actually useful versus just marketing noise.

Halfway point where we review progress and adjust pacing if needed. Some cohorts move faster through certain topics, others want more time on debt strategies. We adapt based on group needs.

We wrap up the long-range planning module and you'll leave with a personalized action plan. Most participants stay connected through our alumni group for ongoing support and updates.
